VISION
We believe the ancient traditions of spiritual direction and the contemporary and historic practices in spiritual disciplines and direction have importance in one’s spiritual journey today. CFDM Southern California welcomes men and women in a two year training, where through cohort learning, we offer an experience of deepening spiritual practices, equipping for the ministry of spiritual direction and supervision for spiritual directors. Cohort learning brings students together in relationship and shared learning. We weave 5 strands foundational for our program. These include historical spiritual practices, psychological and development awareness, spiritual disciplines, the art of spiritual direction and the role of contemplative reflection.
