Meeting God in the Storms of Life!

9:30 am–4 pm (PST) over Zoom

(includes an hour break for lunch)

Storms. None of us avoid them. There are days, sometimes weeks, and even years when storms come spiritually and our lives feel under a cloud or sometimes like we hit turbulent weather. This Quiet Day will introduce various contemplative exercises, including writing your own imprecatory psalms, to chart the storms and find the guidance and comfort of the Triune God.

Led by spiritual directors, Gini Downing and Anne Peck

Gini Downing received a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts (Piano) from Point Loma Nazarene University, with a minor in English Literature. She was trained as a Spiritual Director through Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM) and received a certificate from Mercy Center in Spiritual Direction Supervision. Additionally, she completed a training program on leading retreatants through the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola. She currently serves as a member of the pastoral team at Liminal Church of Ventura.

Anne Peck earned her B.A. with a double major in Psychology and Religion, with an emphasis in Christian Education from Azusa Pacific. She received her Spiritual Direction Training from Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (CFDM) in Los Angeles. In addition to being a Spiritual Director, she has been a Lay Counselor for over 25 years through the Lay Counseling Program at La Canada Presbyterian Church. Anne has participated with Companions for the Journey (also at LCPC) for many years as well as having been trained as a Companions Facilitator.

The registration fee is $40 and a Zoom link will be sent after registration.
