Join us at the Getty Museum as spiritual director and art docent, Kim Allen-Niesen guides us to a newer acquisition at the Getty Museum, "Christ Crowned with Thorns," painted by Gerrit van Honthorst in about 1620. Hornthorst was influenced by Caravaggio’s work using realistic figures. This is a more recently discovered painting. Kim Allen-Niesen will guide us to and share about this acquisition and help us to consider this masterpiece. The light and shadow are engaging in the painting as we consider Jesus and the journey of this week.

Spaces are limited. Details will be sent and materials provided for our afternoon.
